Goldfinch

I'm sometimes called the Wild Canary.  I'm a patient bird.  In fact I don't begin nesting until mid to late summer, when thistledown is available for weaving into our nests.  

I remain with the flock well past the time when other bird species have formed pairs and are nesting.  For this reason I only raise a single brood each season.
