Christmas Celebrations

  • Southeastern Railway Museum Breakfast with Santa.
    Georgia's official transportation history museum will host breakfast with Santa on December 6, 13, & 20th at 9:15am.  Seating is limited to the first 25 children accompanied by one parent per family.  Cost is $3 per child in addition to museum admission.  Attendees, their parents and Santa will be given priority seating on the first train ride of the day.  Advance reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 770-476-2013.  Visit Santa any time through December 21st.  The museum features more than 80 piecdes of railway equipment and rides on restored cabooses.  Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for 65+ seniors, and $4 for children (ages 2-12).  The museum is located at 3595 Peachtree Road in Duluth and is open 10am-5pm Thursdays-Saturdays.  Visit http://www.srmduluth.org for more information.
     
  • Old Fashioned Holiday Fun.
    The magic of a small town Christmas comes alive during A Southern Christmas at Stone Mountain Park through December 30.  This spectacular Christmas event offers holiday fun for the entire family.  The 1870's town of Crossroads is decked with over a million Christmas lights and holiday decorations including an amazing 50' Christmas tree, life-size snowmen, giant wreaths and the spectacular Musical Tree of Lights.  Admission prices for the Christmas event are $10 (plus tax) for adult tickets and $8 (plus tax) for Children (age 3-11).  Christmas admission goes on sale at 4:00pm.  Parking permit required for vehicle entry to the Park.  $7.00 for a one-day permit.  For more information call 770-498-5690 or visit http://www.stonemountainpark.com.
